I used to work in logistics for my father's trucking company. He laid me off almost a year and a half ago. I've always worked in food as well. I'm a server/bartender at Applebee's. The same one Kuzi works at. I've been there for almost six years. I'm also a fulltime student, I'm currently studying fine and professional arts with a concentration in printmaking for my BA and looking to grad school for advertising. On the side, I wrangle pigs...
I am an exploration geologist aka prospector for the worlds second largest mining company. Basically I hike through the woods or fly in a chopper looking for the next big metal deposit.
I work as a QC tech for a cheese company. Ever taste cream cheese at 170 degrees? Delicious!! We also make Alouette (gourmet cheese spread that is way overpriced) among other things.
But my job there isn't too permanent so I'm keeping my eye out. I just applied for a Molecular Biologist position at a lab down the road. We'll see what happens. I graduated last May from college so it's been a little hard to get my feet on the ground.
I do stuff, but my goal is to be a professional bum.
The first paid "Champion Lounger." That's the title I want.
Don't let them tell you it can't be done. Through various awesome circumstance, I was able to become a professional bum two years ago at 28. This career works out great for me because I've always been pretty lazy. I haven't put on pants in over a year. I'm getting a little bored though, so I'm debating becoming an 'Adventurer'. But a mellow one, not gonna climb any mountains or anything. More along the lines of visiting the highest water slide on every continent(excluding Antarctica of course). That's just one of the ideas I've been kicking around. Or drinking bourbon at every distillery in Kentucky . Skies the limit.

Dude you have to pace yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day, don't go switching careers mid way through. Stick with professional bum for a few more years, maybe you will grow to like it. Then go to something fun that doesn't expend a lot of energy, like adventurer does. Thats just crazy!! Antartica?? I hear that they have been waiting for summer since the dinasours left. You need to lower your standards a bit. How about your next job is collecting posters of all the highest water slides?? That seems a lot better to me.

Antarctica was clearly ruled out in my post, due to a severe lack of water park recreation options. And I truly enjoy my new career. In fact, I wonder what in my post made you think I didn't?

I'm an Aviation Electronics Technician/Aircraft Mechanic on the V-22 Osprey Test Development Research & Evaluation Team. We test all the new equipment that goes on the V22 before it goes to the fleet and maintain 5 test birds.

I have a good buddy from high school who works in Antarctica. I've seen pictures of this fool outside in swim shorts in the middle of a snow storm. I'm sure he can arrange a water slide for you. LOL
