A different type of pass?

A thought for a pass.
I was thinking about a pass.

Not your ordinary pass.
The box would be filled with paper bags of cigars with numbers on them.
The bag tops stapled shut.
With 3-5 cigars each bag.
You would take a bag and put a bag.
Kind of a grab bag type of thing, but it could still be fun.

Anyways, just a thought.

Yeah, I just don't wanna mess up your pass, lol! But the blind deal is really cool. I loved grab bags when I was a kid.

Sill have some time before we get going on it.
I figure around the first week of February, we can go over the rules and get that discussed and then set up the order of where it is going.
So far, we're up to 18 people, so this may take some time to run its course. LOL!
This should be very fun, I hope.

Since the pass has to end up at your place in Ofegon, Tony, it might be better if you start it in the east since i'll be out of town from 2/6 to 2/15. If that poses a problem, then just drop me from the list. I'll understand......

Marty, we will work around it.
I don't want anyone dropped from the list, unless they choose to be dropped.

But I'm glad you brought that up.
I've been meaning to ask if there are any dates that might conflict for anyone?
That way we can work around their schedules.

since this is huge i imagine this is going to be going on come May and JUne.....if that is the case May 1-6 i am on a fishing trip and June 15-22 I am in the Dominican.

I would love to be in on this,
but can only join if I would get it at the end of Feb or later,I am to tight with funds (and am committed to 2 other passes) to be able to do it if I would get it before Feb 20th, anytime after that and I'm OK.

If you keep me last and it finishes by late June I will bring it down with me to the soon-to-be-famous West Coast Herf in Portland last weekend in June.

Figuring 3 - 5 days per person and 19 people, that comes out to around 95 days, give or take.
So it might possibly finish up around the middle of May.
We'll put you last and see how it comes up. LOL!

I like the ideas you fine gentlemen have posted. It sounds like a neat idea for a pass. While i like the idea of 'clues', i do respect the concept of totally blind as well, including not even knowing who put in the box. It is a trust exercise, but then again the concept of a pass is...so i find that entire discussion tiresome. Make a few restrictions on entry if you are concerned...and hopefully it eliminates those looking to grab a pass.

I like the map posting...pretty neat. Anyway, good luck with the pass. Will enjoy watching it go around.

So with the TNT or 2Tonys pass wrapping up, it occurred to me that it can be made an even blinder pass.

Same set up. 6 small boxes in on shipping box.
Each box numbered.
When the box is shipped out, a designated person will use a random number generator and that is the box that person will get to choose.
The number gets posted on the pass thread.
That person takes that box and opens it.
The new box gets packed up and the same number put on it.
And so on.
The number generator will decide which box that person gets.

Anyway, it will be some time before I can get to a point where I can do this pass again, but it's a thought.
Good, bad or indifferent. LOL!
