I finished the Gold which was delightful. Had it with some Kalua on rocks; nice!
Recently went down to local B&M and bought the cusano. Didin't seem like it had a lot of flavor to me. could've been the drink a light honey type of brew. Smoked well clean draw, IDK
-
Which Cusano was that?
-
If you're not sure where to cut, here's a simple trick which usually works fine.
using a guillotine cutter, set the cutter down on a surface; stick the head of the cigar in and clip there. Acts sort of like a depth gauge. -
i say when in doubt use a punch
-
always use a punch if you can get away with it.
-
same i just hate having to buy a new one cause it seems to build up residue any good methods of cleaning them?
-
a new punch? ive never had residue on my punch. could you describe it to me so i gat what you are refering to?
-
the inside of the punch looks brown from punching so many cigars
-
is it a self cleaning punch? if not it may be a bit of tobacco stuck in there.
-
well... i wouldn't say its necessarily self cleaning .. but yeah i was just wondering how should i clean it boil it? or something?
-
you could boil it. make sure all rubber/plastic is off of it first though. otherwise... warm water?
-
You could try some Goo Gone on a q-tip. You'd wanna wash it well afterwards, of course.
-
You guys don't get the nicotine/tar build up when you use a punch? That is my one pet pieve when smoking I hate it when a cigar "bleeds".
-
never even thought about it.
-
You don't care about the brown juice on your lips? I hate that. I smoke very dry so I can't imagine how it is for those of you that get the head real moist.
This could go somewhere extremely nasty. -
i tend to build up alot of saliva if iam smoking a good cigar recently i havent had this problem with getting the nasty tar juice but i have before and hate it!
-
I also tend to get a bitter taste when that happens.
-
the nasty cigar juice is nasty.... though if i really liked a stick, sometimes i chew on the butt of it for a while... then it gets pretty narly
