Lighter recommendation

Hey all, I am looking for a solid torch lighter. The one I have now is a xikar impress that I got free with a box of cigars. It has not been the most reliable. I would like something with an ez flame adjustment. So what lighters have you guys had luck with.

If you're looking for a bargain option, and you have a Harbor Freight Tools nearby, check out its Butane Micro Torch. Generally under $10, huge tank, adjustable flame and will last a long time.

Personally, I favor the XIKAR Trezo and EXII, but have also been using the XIKAR Allume and Colibri Stealth 3. Another great option is the JetLine Super Torch, which I've heard great things from some friends on. Between all of those, you should find yourself with some great options.

I have gone through a few Xikar until i recently discovered the Jetline Grenade torch. Has a triple flame, huge tank, has been super reliable and can be had for around $13. Personally it is all i use now.

I use a BIC when I'm out of matches. I mainly need something for touch ups if I'm getting weird burn issues.

I love my Xikar Executive, but the one I use most often is my $3.45 Ronson from Walmarts.

The best deal I've had for lighters is a 4 "seller's choice" for $20 deal on the sister site of C.com. Three of them are extremely reliable, very good quality non-boutique lighters with very visible fluid windows. The fourth is a La Gloria Cubanaflint-styke reproduction that's impossible for me to fill.

I love the Rockwell Sonic Torch Lighter. Its the only one I use now, and I choose it over my ST Dupont Maxijet. The five things I love about it are:
1. Big flame adjustment wheel. No more stripping of the adjustment slot with a coin or screwdriver. Very practical.
2. Works on a very low flame, saving fuel. Other lighters wont ignite on a very low flame setting.
3. Has a little filament inside that glows bright, letting me know the torch is on when I'm outside. Butane flames are usually invisible outside.
4. No misfires! I'm using Colibri butane.
5. Single flame! Good for precision lighting and doesn't marshmallow the foot of the cigar when toasting.

I only picture myself taking it to a lounge or cigar bar, or somewhere else fancy. Maybe lighting a cigar at a casino But for everyday, I like my Rockwell.

I get where your coming from, but for me anytime and anywhere I light up a cigar is special to me since I only get a chance to smoke 4-6 cigars a month on a good month, so the ritual of it and the special cutter, ashtray, cigar and lighter experience just makes it that much better for me for some reason.

The one pictured here is a Vertigo. ~$15 at my local B&M. It is the best, most reliable lighter I have used. I've bought from the $4 ronson up to a $50 Vortex (or some name like that) quad flame. Plus, an additional 10 lighters in between those prices.

This has a huge, viewable tank. Easy to fill. 3 torches. A cap on a chain. and a handle folds out to adjust the flame. This one has always worked for me. Period. I've had to play with all my others except a cheap one from a sister site. But that gave out after a year.

The EXII is a dual flame system. So it has a coil lighter which produces this kinda what I call hybrid flame somewhere between a soft flame and a torch, as well as also having a soft flame built in. So you get this soft flame as well as the hybrid coil light at the same time. It was a gift from Firetruckguy about a year ago and is by far the nicest lighter I've ever owned and I love it. Plus if it ever has an issue I ship it off to Xikar and they either fix it or replace it free of charge for my lifetime.

Oh and typically I smoke smaller ring gauge stuff like coronas, Lancero's, lonsdales and things like that. But I do smoke toro, Preferidos and robustos often enough and have no trouble lighting them fairly quickly. You could light a 60 rg with it but it would take a bit longer.

This is the lighter i liked the most at the shop. Only it was just black with squares. A hybrid flame is an accurate statement I would say. How is it for touch ups on burn issues. Does it do well in the wind?

Been wanting to get one of the Xikar EX lighters for a while now. Want to get either the Liga Privada one or the Room 101 one with Skulls on it.

Check it out. I thought this lighter was pretty cool. It has a mirror in the cap so you can see how you're lighting your cigar.

I didn't want to like it because I thought it was really cheezy buy I really love my Bugatti. I got it with an order I placed from c.com, but it really is great. It has a punch in the bottom, dual flame, and you can see through the window if it is getting low.
