Question for the Keepers of the Coolers

Ok, as much as I don't want to admit it, I'm out of room and have a box of sticks coming tomorrow that will not fit anywhere. I do have some tupperware and Boveda packs for shorterm.

My main question is, How big is to big? I want to be able to move it around if needed and the 120qt cooler I was looking at today would have some weight to it once it got full.

I am thinking I would start off with a 70qt? Suggestions are welcome.

Thats a pretty good size, should keep you covered for awhile.

My friend, first you need to think of where will you be storing this cooler. If your going to move it from room to room. Then yes, you may want to go small. But if your moving it with in the room your going to store it. Then you have to figure what size will not take up much room or better yet. You have to think, what kind of space are you willing to give up for your space. Lastly, when in doubt, just go big. That's motto around here.

Side Bar: They do have coolers with wheels, just something else to think about.

You're preaching to the choir, Chris. We've been asking for years for the software to be upgraded to where we don't need to be programmers to learn how to use it but, regardless of what CCom says, it ain't gonna happen.

It's a major reason why a number of us have moved on to other forums. Sorry.....

Holly cow! I won't be going that big. If for no other reason I can get a stand-up cabinet humi for cheaper.

However, I will look around the house to see if I can find place to put the 150qt cooler.

I've been happy with the coleman 70 quart extreme coolers from walmart. $40. Thick wall insuated. Seals well. Easy to move but still big enough. The price is good too IMO. And if you out grow the first one, they stack well too. LOL

I wanted multiple coolers that stacked, so I went with coleman stackers. They come in different sizes/colors. You can go much bigger with a regular cooler though. Like all this stuff cigar related, it's personal preference.

Personally, I went with a 70qt (the same one Bob has). With Spanish Cedar shelves from wineadors.com it can hold about 700 cigars, which really should be more than enough. Size is convenient, but weight could be a bit questionable if you ever fill it. Knowing you already have a 100, 300 and a locker, I can't help but think you really shouldn't need much more space than this. If you feel you might, the above-mentioned site also makes shelves and drawers for 150qt marine coolers and several wineadors. Their pics may give you a better idea of which direction to go.
