I hate construction

We just moved into our new place and the appartments we are living in are still under construction. Our balcony is directly over what is going to be the pool area, but it isn't finished yet. So i get to hear the sounds of construction equipment right outside my back door 7 days a week for the next few months. Wish me luck ! I will post pics as the construction progresses. For now here is video of what its supposed to look like, and pictures of what it actually looks like.

Don't know how much noise reduction you can expect with this method but I was thinking you could try buying some "moving pads/blankets" (Harbor Freight) and hang them as curtains on a stiff curtain rod and hopefully it would absorb, and help muffle some of that noise.

Eventually that's going to be a really cool courtyard/pool area.

The noise issue isn't as bad as i was thinking it was going to be. The construction workers usually start working when I'm leaving for work, and they are wrapping things up when i am coming home. Here is a progress pic.

Though a good stogie can...for a moment make all the noise go away.

At least when it's finished, you'll be close to the pool!
