In the ever-elusive hunt for value smokes, these intrigue me. Has anyone tried them? At just under $2/cigar I wonder if they're any good. Thoughts?

I have had some. They are decent, but not great. A campfire/mowing cigar is all. Nothing you will write home about.

I don't know what that Sotweedseed thing is but I likes the Contras. They come in a cute little OD green nap sack that my wife likes. It's a small perfecto vitola, fatter foot tapering to the head. They are about a 30 minute smoke for me, med-full body and flavor and plenty of smoke. It tastes like good tobacco to me and that's all I expect. They are a favorite of mine because they are quick, rich and cheap. I'm out at the moment because I like to share with coworkers and family. I'd recommend them to anyone. The only gripe I have is they are sometimes real tight. I've had to pitch a couple because I kept cutting and couldn't get a draw. Can't beat the price. Naysayers be damned. Mike

a most generous offer but I'm good for now. Thanks. I just got some Cohiba Pequenos and AF Exquisitos to try out. The Cohiba so far is not like the full size but is ok. I think the Contras might be for a more experienced pallet. See what you think. Reply with your review. Mike

You don't have to give all your cigars away do you? Smoke a bunch, too. I think you'll like them. And I hope I didn't sound ungrateful. It's very hard to let people give me stuff. I've always been taught that it's better to give than receive and there's always somebody worse off than me, no matter how hard up I think I am. And I'm not even Catholic. Mike

So sorry I steered you wrong. I like em. What can I say. Sometimes I have to nip a little more off the head because it's tight. Once I get it I get good draw and plenty of smoke (for me I guess). Mike
