What's the machine in front of the humidor? The one that looks like a cannon from Flash Gordon.

    ROFL!
    It's a slide projector.
People actually used to get together and visit each other at one time.
Watching slide shows or 8mm movies were common.

I almost commented about how slideshows were "the life" back then. My dad used to show us his slides. I only remember him showing them to company once or twice. I do remember making shadow puppets.

At first glance, I thought it was a meat grinder.

What a great picture... Did you notice the "Hint to Hostess" just under the photo.. And the look Blondie is throwing at the dudes.. "yeah I'm gonna get me some of that manliness". Cigars have that effect on the ladies.

Huh, Never saw a projector like that. My grandfather was big into photography and made his own slides but had one of the projectors with the circular magazine on top of the box-shaped projector. hehe, one of my grandpa's buddies told me about watching porn on a slide projector at stag parties when they got home from Japan.

I still have one of those in a closet somewhere. At one time color slides were "the way to go". Now I don't think you can even buy film.

    Right there with ya Jim!
I was waiting for the "What's 8mm movies?"
That's where the real dirty movies were. But you usually watched them frame by frame.
And if you know what I mean, you are old. ROFL!
