Southern Tier Pumpking Ale. I'm not a beer guy at all, but I do like some pumpkin beers and this has been the best by far. Love the fall time.
I'm about to drink one I picked up. I'm having a hard time thinking of what to smoke with it. Anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing it's got an allspice type flavor, most pumpkin beers I've had do. :edit: I'm leaning toward an La Aroma De Cuba EE
don't know what measures you guys use over in the states, but in the uk a measure is 25ml or in my house 100ml :P
so ill just put it in measures and then you an use what you usually use,
1 measures dark rum
1 measures white rum
1/2 measures apricot brandy
1/2 measures lime juice
2 measures pineapple juice
6i ce cubes plus powdered sugar and an umbrella(just a small one)
stick 3cracked(not crushed) ice cubes in a cocktail shaker along with all the liquids and a spoon of powdered sugar, just a normal desert spoon size.
shake
take a glass from the freezer and dip the top in powdered sugar (called icing sugar here) so you get sugar just on the rim of the glass. stick the other 3 ice cubes in there, and then poor in the cocktail.
then put a straw in there and the cocktail umbrella and enjoy.
its not very good if you get it out at a bar, not just because the bars cant mix unless you go to a proper (read expensive) place, even in a normal bar you would be looking at $15-20 for this and that's only using pub measures.
i only have it at home and with my measure :P :P you only need a couple
Chivas 12, outta the bottle, LONG DAY of "Visits" at work (1 Boss that runs another District, just shooting the breeze, One boss from a Vendor that I had "Entertain" and lastly my Boss's Boss's BOSS! Needless to say he has "Director" in his title meaning that I had to mind my P's and Q's....
Day Started at 8:00am and I got home around 10ishPM...
Pumpkin Ale's from Smuttynose Brewing Co.
and Shipyard Brewing Co.... neither of which tasted like pumpkin IMO.
If you can find it, try the Southern Tier Pumpking. Tastes just like pumpkin pie.
I approve of this message. I haven't tried the Smuttynose yet, but the Pumpking has a great sweet pumpkin taste that puts it far above any other that I've had.
It's 9% too, so make you don't stand up too fast after drinking it.

Has anyone tried the Dogfish Head Punkin Ale yet?
I had the Dogfish Head Punkin Ale a few weeks back and its a good beer.
Today I did polish off a few of the Blue Moon Honey Moon's. Didnt have a chance to pair it with a cigar but still a nice evening.
Having Sierra Nevada tumbler. It's their fall seasonal. Must stock up on this! Very fresh deep malt flavor with sweetness to go with but nicely balanced by hops.
Appel, mocha, latte, skim milk, light foam, room for cream, shook twice, made while jumping on one foot, Thanks for doing anything I tell you S%$rbucks workers I just like to see them pull it off
Well I didn't actually drink any of it, but I did buy a bottle of rum today. Picked up a bottle of Pyrat XO Reserve. Read some reviews and can't wait for my weekend so I can actually crack the bottle open and give it a shot!

Pyrat XO is a nice rum. It's good with a dash of water or an ice cube if you just want to sip it (expect more tropical fruit flavors than heavy molasses and vanilla you'd get in darker rums - think bananas foster) but it can also be a nice mixer if you want the rum to really stand out in the drink. I've even cooked with it and made caramel sauces with it and it's nice there too.
First day off after 8 straight 14 hour days !!! Washed my blood pressure meds down with some Rum and Sierra Mist about 11:00 AM . Picking out the first smoke of the day. Going to see if this cant be a 3-4 cigar day , I need it !!! I feel good already ...
