Anyone ever try apple cider with a cigar before? I had a glass with a cigar, not sure what cigar it was, a few weeks ago and I found it to work very well with the cigar. I think it was a full flavored cigar of some sort. Anyway, give it a try sometime and tell me what you think.
I always keep the Gosling's Black Seal on hand. I like it neat as well, but I usually mix it in Mai Tais or float it on Pina Coladas.
Goslings Black Seal is great for mixing but if you want neat, try the family reserve. It'll run you about $65 a bottle, but it's good stuff. NOT a mixer.
Has anyone tried the Montecristo rum? It looks intriguing. It's up between that and Zaya for my next bottle.
tonight i had a nice dinner with the wife. We had Fresh veggies with hummus as a dip, beer battered mushrooms, and an herb encrusted Tilapia. after dinner drink? Mackinac Trail Winery's White Ibus. Freakin great. Fruity and slightly sweet. Very apple pear and grape in nature. smooth as all get out.
last night i went out with some friends to a nice dinner as a wedding gift for them. the drinks that were purchased went as followed... pre-meal: Crown Royal reserve and coke (my wife), Grey Goose Gimlet (myself), Tanqueray and tonic, disaronno amaretto sour.
with appetizers of grilled baby octopus and fried artichoke we decided that a pinot noir would be best with dinner. the other couple ordered that so i am unsure of the winery. it was good.
after dinner: another Crown Royal reserve and coke for the wife, a Dewer's for myself. the two of them each had "Spanish Coffee" im not sure what made it "spanish" but it looked good.
