My little 50 humi passes that test but when I look inside at the top of the lid, the cedar joints are a few centimeters apart. I'm a bit worried this could cause a problem down the line - - - anyone have any recommendations for sealing these 2 joints?
Another simple and effective test for your seals is the dollar bill test. Place a Washington (or a Lincoln if you're feeling spendy) on the lip and close the lid on it. If you can pull the bill out easily, then your seal is not very good, if, however, the bill gives resistance on all three sides, then you've got a good seal.
