When you drink vodka over ice it can give you kidney problems
When you drink rum over ice it can give you liver problems
Whiskey over ice can cause heart problems
Drinking gin over ice can cause brain problems

Evidently ice is really bad for you. Thank goodness I like my bourbon neat or with whiskey stones.....

Yes, indeedy-doo. The stones can be used in whatever libation suits your taste. They are stored in your freezer and one or two stones in your glass with whiskey (or whatever) poured over lowers the temp by a degree or two, just enough to help dissipate the ethanol portion of the booze. Stones aren't intended to cool your drink like ice cubes do. The ethanol is what produces the 'burn' in alcohol so the stones help to smooth out your toddy and make it more sippable. If you prefer your whiskey watered down, ice cubes will do the job and you won't need the stones.

I kinda doubt that. I'm assuming you said it 'tongue-in-cheek'........ Actually, the stones I have (only ones I was able to find) are made of soapstone which I doubt has any mineralization to it. In any case, they work well for their intended purpose. IMO :-)
