9 days in transit to me so far. Shipping here takes anywhere between 14-21 days. I fly back to the states on the 1st, so I have my fingers crossed that it gets here and I can get it in the hands of some camoflage wearing hero's.
I have the pass in hand. Everything looks like it made the journey across the big pond very well. I will get a picture of my takes and puts in a bit along with the final showing. I should beable to distribute these come Friday and Saturday before I fly out on Monday. Just a little info: We had 2 Americans and 1 Brit shot and killed two days ago by an Afghan Police Officer. Most of this pass was going to be delivered to those guys and their comrades, so it should be a nice little pick-me-up in the face of tradegy.
Ok, here are the pictures. The first one is my take and puts:
I took the H. Upman according to wfip51's instructions.
Next, the overall damage that has been put on some of Americas finest:
And my precious little niece also threw in on it with this nice drawing that will go up on my wall in the office
Like I said in my previous post, these will get distributed on Friday and Saturday. I will do my best to get some "troop photo's" so that we may see the fruits of the pass. This has been a fun pass and for a very good cause. With what has happened here in the last few days, these sticks will make quite a few people happy. Bravo Zulu ladies and gents, and a special thanks to RBeckom for making it happen! - James
I am humbled by the news of the fallen Heroes. A sad day it is to here about three deaths.
As for the pass, I could not be happier with the way it ran.
To all who took place:
Thank you for helping me brighten the day, if only for a day, of some of our brave fighting men and rest assured that if I were young enough, I would be standing along side of them. To all of our fighting heroes.......A Salute!
I just had some bomb dog handlers here in their MRAPS, and gave them half of the pass. I will have some pics in a little bit to put up. The other half is going to be given out tomorrow hopefully.
So, I have given half to these guys. They are the bomb dog handlers we use for missions and security:
They tried to get the dog to hold one but he wasn't having none of it, lol.
The rest have been given to the DEA who then in turn distribute it to some SOF personnel we use and they have my email adress to forward any picture they can get. This was awesome guys and girls, these guys are already planning a big herf tonight with the donations. I had a cheap lighter and quite a few cheap cutters that I threw in with the sticks, so now all they need is the excuse to burn them.
Awesome pics!!! Thanks! It's amazing that just a group of guys that enjoy the same thing can get together and actually make an impact so far away.....pretty darn cool!
