So here we are at the end of Q1 2012. I was just thinking of the stogies I have smoked over the last few months and which ones really stood out for me. I don't really care if they were new smokes to me or something I tried a while back and decided to try again. For me the big standouts were the Padilla Miami Toro and 601 Blue Toro. Both had been aged at least a year. The big letdown for the quarter was the ISOM Partagas Serie D No.4. I had heard so many good things the PSD4 and it just was kind of slight in flavor.

As far as Partagas goes, the PSD4 is not in my top three. Not a bad cigar, but it doesn't hold its own compared to the Lusitanias, Short and 898.
For me, the most impressive cigar I've had in this first quarter is the Padilla Miami 8&11 reissue, just a stellar blend and masterfully crafted.0
