So, I know people use coolers, but in my search for airtight storage containers I came across this brand called "Iris" that makes pet food storage containers. Check these out.

Is there any benefit to a cooler over one of their big containers? Thoughts?

I would say the big difference is insulation. For me, my apt gets above 70 degree during the days but the cooler keeps the temp lower and more stable. This is an issue for me since I don't want to pay huge cooling bills.

i have a friend in town here that uses these exact things. you can get em at your nation chain pet store. every now and then they go on sale for less than $25.

i use a setilite bin with a bit of D-ring weather strip ourund the edge to ensure the seal. works amazingly well. i may never buy a wood box again.

I was looking at getting another humidor because mine is so fully stocked right now, and I came to the conclusion that I am in this hobby for the long hull, so I might as well start getting into the coolidor option.
