I've only had one Park Ave Maduro, and I kinda felt like you did although I plan on revisiting it before long. A lot of the nutty/bread/toasty flavors that the connie imparts were replaced with sweet maduro nuances, but the whole thing didn't really come together. And those nutty/toasty flavors are what I really have always liked about the original Park Ave. But I didn't think the maddie was a bad stick by any means, just not as good as the original IMO. Maybe a little time will help it out...

Oh yeah, and to the assumption that the filler wasn't re-blended for the Maduro version - I believe that is 100% correct. Alex said that the maduro wrappers were originally used by mistake.

I didn't really mean to say it wasn't reblended at all, I have no idea, but maybe it wasn't. I just meant it wasn't done nearly as well, if it was.

With more time away from the experience now, I think I was let down more than I disliked it. I should probably get a couple more and then try again later with far lowered expectations. That probably didn't come across effectively in my review, but it was my first stab at one. I kinda liked doing it though so I think I'll keep at it.
