I posted back on page 5 of this thread, but I didn't really get into why I like the Titan.
I'm more of a "collector" then a smoker( I enjoy three times a month a good smoke) and really enjoy smoking with other's then just chillin' by myself. That being said I was still learning what is what out there and was still scared of trying anything labeled "full body" or a dark color wraper. After about a year of cigars(and learning), I signed up for the COTM. When I got the first month I was shocked that they were all Gurkha's. Becuase of the price and the color, I was holding them rather then trying them. Then one day I was low on my normal smoke (casino III R y J) and grabed the Titan and closed my eyes.... I never knew something could be that good.
So I never looked back, and now enjoy full body cigars.
I've had a few gurkhas and my favorites are the Black Puro, doble Maduro, and the Centurian perfecto. The nepalese warrior is pretty good too. I really did not like the royal brigade. I've really wanted to try the titan, beast, and beauty. Just haven't pulled the trigger to buy them. A little too pricey for me.
What are you talking about home away from home. This is my home in my home, and my office and sometimes the hotel room, occasionally a public bathroom.
Very limitd experience with gurkhas. Had a tin about proably 18-24 months ago, don't even remember the kind but they were good. Gotta friend that swears by the Ancient Warrior so I picked one up Monday....torn between smoking because of his rave's and letting it rest....why did I only get one (shakes head)...
I had another corniche after an early dindin and man I'm really loving this puppy. I had it with mocha and boy did they go together. maybe next time I'll have it with a port but it's definitely a "desert" cigar.

thatll teach you to buy singles!
lol, yeah but what if you don't like it then have 4 or more left? well I guess it makes good trade fodder but still. I guess your damned if you do and damned if you don't..
what another one? they need to stop bringing new ones out!
And each one is exclusive to a different vendor.
This is a great way to do market research. Before I understood that certain lines were only available through certain channels, I walked into a few B&M's looking for a Camacho 1962. I also quit hunting around for 5 Vegas locally (duh), and have not seen the Royal Brigade anywhere but on-line. These are but a few examples, and Gurkha seems to be the biggest about directing specific cigars through specific channels. In some cases (G3 vs. Triple Ligero), the blend is the same, but the name has been changed. That stuff, coupled with the huge price discrepancy between various channels, turns me off of the Gurkha brand in general. I like to know what I'm getting into, and with Gurkha I can't keep all the different blends straight.
The Gurkha Blue Steel looks delicious to me, I stumble upon some today and had to order them. I read that they are a "limited and will never be produced again". I think my paycheck says that too.
