Not saying Barack is the hero here.....but to say he shouldnt get any credit for Bin Laden being brought to justice because he wasnt there----wouldnt that be like saying Bin Laden shouldnt have been blamed for 9/11 since he wasnt in NY, Penn, or D.C. when it happened?

Never thought I'd say this . . . but I agree with Vulchor. The man made a risky call; no guarantee that bin laden was in that compund, no guarantee that everything would've worked out. With the pakistani military equivalent of West Point less than 1,000 yards away, the mission could've gone bad - it could've been another Black Hawk Down.

I hate Obama's policies, I think he's socialism-lite, like the french, but in this operation, he showed a real backbone and made a tough call - a presidential-level decision. Kudo's to him for this victory.

I agree that Obama made a gutsy call on this one. I still don't like him and to suggest that the past administration had nothing to do with this success is assinine.

Great thing is, I don't have too. I mean not only did he not act on intel about this whole mess, he didn't even try to get bin laden. Some how Iraq was more important than going after BL... go figure. Let us not forget about how the bush admin let BL escape in 01. I know your side hates the facts... I'll try not to remind you.

Where are you getting this info of Bush not even trying to get him?
You obviously were not humping the mountains in the Stan like I was, following every bit of intel we had looking for him and his network under Bush. But you seem to know better right?
It's easy to sit here now and look back on what should have happened, with all the pieces of the puzzle.

    ....Mission Accomplished, good job Obama!
not sure if it was said in sarcasm or not. however i will take it that it was not. bush started the job. Obama finished it.

I agree with The Gypsy 100%. The call was gutsy and, thankfully, it was successful. But the Bush administration went a long way toward this ultimate success.

I have absolutely no use for the current White House resident but the call was gutsy.

Damn right. Thanks for your service and commitment loco. I had hoped that finally getting that POS would bring us back together as Americans, but I knew in my heart that the blame-gamers and conspiracy theorists would never let that happen.

Dare I extrapolate that many people here feel the same way about the current adminsitration, and this overall feeling is the reason for the lack of discourse and open discussion? Kind of hard to look at things objectively or individually when this blanket feeling is overriding everything.

Its exactly the same as when Bush was in office, and with Clinton, and with Bush before him, its always the same. Whichever side doesn't have their president currently in office hates whoever is holding the position, regardless of what they do or don't do.
