lol... Cuts are the way to go, lets do that while crippling working people and giving their money to huge corporations that pay no taxes and get refunds. Great way to help this country. I'm wondering when people like you who vote and support people like this will finally realize your wrong? Maybe when we are all under the flag of the united corporations of America? Maybe when we are all working just to get food? I dunno...

Wait I'm pretty sure this guy is saying to cut the big tax breaks to big corps and lessen the tax for normal people.

My bad, with all the commotion around here about the shutdown I probably misread quite a bit of information in the last week.

The problem with blaming Republicans for this shut down is that Democrats have had since Oct. of last year to pass a budget, but while the still controlled the House AND Senate. They were more concerned with massive financial and health overhauls rather than their essential functions. Their liberal agenda was way too important.

Pheebs, enough with the progressive blogs - how about posting something in your own words, instead of hiding behind someone elses? If you wanna support a point, any point, there's 10 blogs out there that'll support either side - blogs mean nothing, and all you do is post a wall of links and think that's supposed to be an argument. Try posting something that didn't come from a left-wing blog, try using your own brain and your own words for once.

Yeah... about the whole military not getting paid in 2003 and 2005, I and just about everyone I work with and I can attest to the fact that it definately DID NOT happen! We all got our paychecks on the 1st and 15th of every month in those two years. Not sure who is making this stuff up.

actually I am not posting a lot of blog crap, I am posting actual numbers, maybe if you actually read them you would see that. And if you don't know, there are really only two kinds of media out there, news and blogs. And news is so NOT news, that you can't ever get any truth out of the big networks, and with blogs they are either leaning right or left. At least a few of them actually post numbers as a whole without opinion and even with opinion sometimes they actually are stating the truth if they have the numbers to back them up. My own brain, well let's see, you continually say that ryan is closing loopholes however he and other gopers say that's not the case and the GOP is even fighting his budget. My own brain tells me that if tax cuts work and cutting social services while giving the super wealthy breaks and while privatizing everything we wouldn't be in 13plus trillion deficit. If you noticed, this country deficit exploded under Reagan. and only got worse.
