    I might be reading it wrong, but it looks like a money grab. I'm glad that some BOTL will be able to smoke in their own cigar lounges and cigar bars if this proposal goes through, but why take your rights away and sell it back to you (not to mention that only 600 businesses will have their rights sold back to them) a few years later if not for the money?

    Agreed it's basically a form of racketeering, but I see this as a chance for BORKs to finally have a place where they can smoke. To me, this is just a return towards equilibrium from the initial knee-jerk reaction of the general smoking ban. It's not the best solution, but it's definitely a step towards the right direction.

    Having to pay for rights that were formerly taken for granted for centuries is hardly common sense. They already make a hefty tax off the product. Just legalized extortion.
