Temperature Controller Settings on a Fridgador

Hey guys,

I have been running a vinotemp humidor for the past year or so. During the summer months (hot in TX) it kept my sticks at a constant 66 degrees, but once the winter rolled around, the temps dropped in the humidor and I ended up unplugging it and just letting it acclimate to room temp.

Question is, can I hook up a temp controller on heating mode to keep it at a constant 68 degrees? In the winter, cooling mode will do no good.

What do people do during these months?

Thanks!

i dont have a fridgeador but in the winter my cigars are kept at room temp. thats anywhere from 60 - 68 depending on the time of day. a bit cool wont hurt them at all. what do i do? I dont sweat it.

I'd go with Kuzi on this one. I think just unplugging it would do fine in the winter months. As long as it stays below 72 or 73 inside you should be fine. So what part of TX you in man? There are a few of us in the Dallas area and a few more scattered across the state.
