xmarco I spoke to a rep at Ccom who told me that they are expecting them in soon but he didn't know when. It seems that the Christmas or Holiday release is coming a little later this year. Wondering if the heavy rains they got have put them behind a bit like some of the others that were to be shipped or released but were delayed.

Hey, I'm just wondering when the website is gonna be updated? Since Alex said the 5 GOF + Herf sampler is back in stock, the website hasn't updated, and I can't get a rep to order it until then

Absolutely!!! Attention to the consumer’s concerns/expectations will separate them from all competitors. I'm reasonable new to Ccom and forum but am quite please to have come across it. The "Team" at Ccom earns a 95 rating (only because I don't think a cigar can get a 100 rating). but if a 100 is possible, i'll give 110. What is the highest rating for a cigar anyway??

    Mperconte:

it all depends on the rating system.

CA and all the other cigar rags go by the 100pt scale.
according to them a "perfect" cigar has a rating of 100.

in their (CA's) history there has only been 7 "perfect cigars"
the only statement i can find about what those cigars are is this:
    Cigar Aficionado:
For only the seventh time, Cigar Aficionado has found a perfect cigar -- a 15-year-old Ramon Allones Gigantes. This exquisite double corona embodies everything that a cigar should have: beauty, impeccable performance and, most importantly, unforgettable flavor. Cigar perfection has been attained by two Dunhills, a Davidoff, two limited-edition releases and one size that's no longer produced, but the Ramon Allones is the only cigar still in production to score a perfect 100. (All have been Cuban.)

    AND

    Cigar Aficionado:
The Davidoff Château d'Yquem scored a perfect 100 points

the list that i can find is as follows:
    Dunhill Cabinetta Robustos
    Davidoff Château d'Yquem
    Grisel Bolivar Chatele
    Ramon Allones Gigantes (1991)
    Cohiba Gran Reserva

seems that even CA doesnt have a list of the 7 perfect cigars they have in the Connoisseur's Corner over the years.
not only that, but their website is annoying and the search function REQUIRES you to sign up as a member to use.
if anyone can tell me the last two for sure (one is a Cuban Dunhill and i suspect the other is a Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey) i would love to know

In an Issue dated August 2007, there were two cigars that were listed with a 100 rating
The first was a Dunhill Don Candido Seleccion no. 506 (1966) and the second was a Grisel Bolivar Chatelet (1969). Both enjoyed by the nobel James Suckling.

Looking a little further ...August 2005 issue. 30th Anniversary Cohiba (1996) 50 ring x9 inch, .....Dunhill Estupendo (1989) Churchill,.... and Romeo Y Julieta Torpedo (1964) and you can guess the country they all came from. All 100.

Damm it !! One more I never heard of in the June 2002 edition. Produced by H Upman( Jose Marti )1492 ( 1995) 5 2/3 inchx46 ring gauge each cigar has a numbered band 0-25,050 out of numbered humidors 1-501. Another cigar I will never smoke. Looks like more than 7 scored a perfect 100. I'm not looking anymore.

Tried searching their archives on the site (logged in) by score, only 95 and above. Highest score I can find is a 99, to a HdM DC from 1992.

yeah.. i got the same results when i did the same searches.
i think that is a search for ciars that are reviewed as "new"

the "Connoisseur's Corner" section is the only place where a rating of 100 has ever been given. that is usually cigars with significant age on them.
