FedEx vs UPS vs USPS - Which is faster?

I'm asking you guys to post which is faster for you when it comes to delivering your cigars.

For me, UPS takes about a week to deliver, but USPS delivers in about three days - if the cigars ship out from Ccom on Tuesday, they'll be here by Thursday. No idea why there's a difference, but it's there.

Also, UPS and FedEx usually don't require a signature, even if the package is supposed to require one; the USPS never requires one. At any rate, USPS has never trashed my packages, whereas UPS and FedEx have both smashed my cigars before, along with other stuff - how the UPS guy ever managed to crack a cast-iron teapot is beyond me, but when I sent it back for a non-broken one, the UPS guy managed to break it again on 3 separate attempts to get a new teapot. Go figure.

I stick with usps. Anywhere in the USA, 2-5 bucks, very reliable. I only got burned by them once andthe package did eventually get to me, ups is expensive if you don't have an account with them and ceded is way expensive.

x2, they seem a lot better to deal with...never really had problems with them.

USPS usually gets everything to me in 2 or 3 days and they're pretty cheap. I've also never gotten anything damaged from them.

I haven't used Fedex a lot, but from what I've seen, they're really fast.

UPS, though, I HATE them. My package takes 7 to 11 days to get here, even though I'm not in another country yet. And when my order DOES get here, they usually drop it on my porch from 5 pm to 8 pm. Half the humidors I received through UPS looked like someone took an ax to it. In some of my orders, it looked like some a$$hole sat on the box, took out the cigars, and cut slits into them.

+1 more for US Post. If I order Monday, I get it Wednesday. My Postman is also really cool.

UPS Ground takes 7-9 days to reach me, and the driver for this area is a ***. UPS Next day Air is fast, but the packages take a beating, so isn't good for shipping sticks, and it costs a small fortune.

USPS usually takes 3 days to get to me in California and for some reason UPS almost always take 5 to 7 days to get to me. I always call Ccom after I order online to ship it USPS.

I've never had any problems with any of these three shipping services. The only difference I've found is that USPS never requires a signature, but UPS in my area won't leave a package without someone signing for it. Shipping time is even about the same across the board, although FedEx is maybe a day or two slower.

USPS hands down is the fastest. Usually 3 days max.

    Never used FedEx

UPS...well I just had a package shipped from PA on the 4th, today is the 11th and it says out for delivery. So UPS takes about 5-7 business days.

I've had major issues with UPS. Back in college I couldn't take my guitar on the plane so I had my mom UPS it to me the asshats broke the damn case!
Seriously they somehow cut a gash into the metal.
The only cigar related thing with them happened when I ordered some Camacho Liberty 2010, and they never showed up.

And now I kinda get upset every time ccom ships UPS-to my P.O. Box. I fear I will have to deal with some stupidity. And the tracking is worthless.

US Post: fast, cheap, reliable service. CCOm packages reach me in N. CA in 2 days and that's by the cheapest shipment available.

USPS for the quickest service -- two day turn around for me out in California -- UPS and Fedex take about 5 business days but have yet to have an issue with them -- Plus, USPS will drop the package in my mail room that requires a mailbox key to obtain the package unlike the other two services where they just drop it off on the porch

I've said this before, I am very lucky. UPS is always the next day by 10 AM if I order before 2:30 PM or so. USPS usually takes a day or two longer.

USPS is always the way to go for me.. Except when I send things to Milwaukee, ( Why) My daughter goes to school there, and if I send something before 3:00 pm it will be there the next morning with UPS.

I guess I'm the odd man out on this issue. I refuse to deal with USPS when it comes to orders shipped from CCom. I get next day delivery from CCom with UPS at the minimum rate as I'm in the DC area. The last time I had a CCom order sent USPS, it took 4 days to get here and the box was smashed almost flat when it arrived.

I have a PO box so it's nothing but USPS for me. If I order early enough and it's sent out the same day I'll have it the next day by 9am, and I live in NC - about a 10 hour drive...

One thing I hate about UPS is that they refuse to deliver before the 'scheduled delivery date'. I have a package that's been 10 miles from my apartment since Tuesday. The 'scheduled delivery date' is Friday, so they haven't touched the package in the last 2 days.

F! Fed ex and Ups, they can burn. I love the socialist, communist post office. Sure they're not perfect but they are damn effective. I've never had a package be destroyed and they always arrive. And even if I have to pick up a package their not too far from my house, unlike fedex and ups. But they aren't privatized so I forsee them going that way if this anti-govt, pro private thing keeps up. Go fREE market!!!
