I don't remember how or when I ran across this article about fake Cubans, but it's worth a look-see.

    They have also changed the cuban seal to have a barcode and a hologram. Each box coming out of Cuba, either new or OLD cubans will have this new seal, even if it's placed over the OLD seal.

    You can go online now and put in your barcode number and the website will tell you if they are counterfeit. Bad part is that it's Cuba and that even though you may have legit cigars, if they haven't updated the website in awhile or they barcodes haven't been entered in yet, you may get a false negative. It's Cuba, not the most up to date on standards and practices.

    There is some dealings on the internet that sell all the labels, boxes, bands etc. and they make a living off of doing reproductions....
