Happy Birthday!!! You will enjoy Padron and soon find yourself smoking Padron 1926, 1964 or the Family Reserve line. This is one of those rare cigar maker family who really makes cigar with pure passion and love. There are many cigar factories in Nicaragua but Padron is unique.
Rhamlin:
Seeing as how it looks like I'm leaving to catch the boat tomorrow on my Bday I thought I'd go ahead a celebrate tonight with my first Padron.
Had a JDN Antano 1970 Gran Consul... I managed to get the ash to nearly 2 inches before the burn started going off. I wonder if I could do a Nub stand with these.
RP Sungrown. Not as good as I had hoped. Oh well, it was cold outside anyways.
How much rest? Reason being...first one I had blew...waited three months and the next was a serious gem. I stocked up immediately and am resting them now.
Actually Last night I start out with a LPH Maduro, and it was good, but the 3 that I have had are very hard and seemed plugged the first 4-5 inches then open up past the mid point. I followed up with a Cu-Avana Intensus which was awesome, and finished with a La Reloba Seleccion Mexico and damn DPG hit this one out of the park. I remember now why last May I bought a box.

those Mexico weren't at full strength as I thought they would be but it is a good smoke at it's price point.
