Try to cut a cigar with one hand? If not maybe I will post a how to after my surgery next week. Popped a tendon in my forearm and getting it fixed next Tuesday. Will have some downtime to enjoy a few smokes if I can cut the darn things.

Hold the cigar in your mouth, cut, flip and light. Good to go.

Good thinking Drew. I was going to suggest just cutting some in advance.

I was thinking I can extend the punch on my Bugatti and press the cigar down onto it. That may be the ticket since I won't be able to drive for a few days on the pain meds. The two weeks following Tuesday are going to suck!

If you have some extra cash, maybe a table top cutter? You could use your bum hand to hold the stick down and the good hand to cut. http://www.cubancrafters.com/tabletop-cigar-cutter-red-mesa-fina-rojo-cherry-wood-gold/

I know this will fire some people up, but in a pinch you can always bite it.

Is that what your avatar is doing, Sherm? :)

    Blessings on the surgery, Mark.

Good Stuff, thank you for the wishes. I am sure you all will hear all about it, messages will just come slower as I can only type with one hand. It don't matter, just don't bite it...

I have done it once but it probably not really a good idea though. what i did is put the whole cigar on the table but left just the cap hanging off and then cut it. might be easier if you put things on both sides so it doesn't go any where. get well soon.

Could be. I Have never tried it, and hopefully never will. I saw it done once and asked the person what the hell they were doing. He said that is how Castro does it, and who smokes more cigars than he does.

Back home and resting. Got a nerve block so it feels like I have a dead arm. I am sure pain will hit me like crazy when this wears off. Thanks doc for the big bottle of oxycodone.

If your pain tolerance is low stay on the pills before you "need" them. Its easier to stay ahead of the pain then to try and play catch up. Here's to a speedy recovery!
