Well, since jeff didn't post a review of yours kuz, I'll do one: Connect the God Damn Dots by Ministry 6/10. They aren't really my cup of tea, I'm not a huge fan of noise music.kuzi16:
ill give that 7/10 ... mainly because of the video....These Filthy Hands:The Toadies. 5/10. Sorry Kuz, just not a fan.
Parkway Drive - Smoke 'Em If Ya Got 'EM (No pun intended with the song title either).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7usTgw-7XfM
how bout a little old school...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSEYGsk6KTM
One by Apocalyptica
-
i agree that its fantastic. ill give that 9/10 but only because they shorten it a bit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm4X9yElG9Y ....
jesus built my hot rod. (with lyrics)
sorry about the ministry again.... bum im not sure i would call them noise metal, but they are crazy as hell though. I would put them a bit closer to industrial.
i promise no more ministry after this one. -
I don't even have to follow any links to give that one a 9/10...that whole album is off the hook and jesus built my hotrod is a killer cut.
I'll throw a little something different out. Mark Knopfler - Boom, Like That. Video -
Sorry, just catching up on how the rules of the game go. looks fun thoughGaren B:Well, since jeff didn't post a review of yours kuz,
Ministry - Connect the God Damn Dots 5/10 - not a huge fan , I enjoyed the bad blood song they put out a while ago however
One - apocalyptica - E for effort, not a big fan of the boy band of metal, but the somber chamber music cover has its place, Id like to see some more metal bands branch out and do some covers of there tunes using orchestral tools.
Toadies - 7/10 with a ++ for nostalgic value Ahh there was a period cira 1994-1996 that a lot of good "indi Rock type" bands started getting some good radio air play(pj harvey, tool, filter etc), brings me back to to the days when the music video channels played....well music videos , this is gooder too
In for the kill -la roux
Rocket - polysics
Darkest Hour
-
In for the kill - la roux - 9/10 Great song. Love it, sounds like classic 80's.
Rocket - polysics - 7/10 Good song don't like the chorus.
Darkest Hour - 5/10 Not crazy about it alot of this style metal all sounds the same to me.
VNV Nation - Sentinel
Combichrist - Sent To Destroy
Covenant - Dead Stars
-
Just to remind you guys, it's one song that's getting reviewed per post. Anywho:
VNV Nation - Sentinel 7/10 Pretty good, but it's a bit too eighties sounding for my taste.
Combichrist - Sent to Destroy 8/10 Liked the mix of metal vocals and techno.
Covenant - Dead Stars 4/10 I just couldn't get into it, doesn't mean its bad, just not my style.
Getting way the heck away from metal, techno, 70's music and everything else that has been posted: Sweet Home Chicago - Robert Johnson -

Don't hate me. I love heavy music but I would say 3/10 and that is only because of the guitars. Just too much chaos for me.Falcifer:

[quote user=alienmispirit]How about this one, Hed (PE), Blackout - good jam - 710
Good jam, like the singers voice, if it was a dab more edgier... but I prefer The Only One from that album.
Lets try this: Plan B - Who Needs Actions LINK

Plan B - Who Needs Actions: 8/10 I usually don't dig rap, but this guy is pretty good. I like the mix of rap and acoustic guitar.
Back to some 70's rock Led Zeppelin - Gallows Pole -
The youtube link doesn't work, but I have the son on my computer, 9/10.
How about something from one of my favorite bands; Lacquerhead by Primus? Watch his hand during the short bass solo, absolutely amazing.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn-s5cmy8dU
-
Lacquerhead by Primus - 10/10 because of Les Claypools amazing and creative bass playing.
Folkearth - Hoplites Awaiting Commandhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv3aFxJb3xs&fmt=18
-
Folkearth - Hoplites Awaiting Command 8/10, I really digged the song and for some reason it reminded me of Thirteen by Danzig.
Let's try out Inertia Creeps by Massive Attack -
Inertia Creeps by Massive Attack, 8/10. It feels like a song that should be on the Snatch (or similar movie) soundtrack.Garen B:Folkearth - Hoplites Awaiting Command 8/10, I really digged the song and for some reason it reminded me of Thirteen by Danzig.
