Cigar band picture frame

So i have been keeping all my bands for the past year to do a special "project" with them. Christmas came and i thought i would make a cool picture frame for my good buddy known as MAwart around these forums. A picture of our other good bud who smokes cigars, him and me would go in it when we actually decide to take the picture.

Here is what it looked like before:

and after:

fun little project and learned a lot while doing it. The next one i do will be much better.

How did you get them to "stick"? Lacquer, glue stick? Very cool I'd make a couple for my office they're awesome.

i used elmers "extreme" gluestick....that worked pretty well. Only suggestion i would make would be to stay away from the bands that are more papery. The glossy embossed ones were easy to work with but the papery ones were a pain.

i forgot to mention that after i got them all stuck, i put 2-3 coats of clear coat on it to keep them there.

great job there, I've been saving mine writing likes/dislikes on the backs, as I get more than one of them saved - didn't know why or what for, just keep saving them, you have given me GREAT info on why I have been saving the "extras" (big thumbs up there)
