i have had boxes be stuck at the PO when i did this because they didn't put the flat rate postage label on there and it said that the full postage was not paid.

be sure to pay the full flat rate price when you do this.

If you go to usps.com you can actually get some brand spanking new flat rate boxes shipped to you for the price of free! I've got a good 20 at home, I always feel a bit safer using a brand new box.

    YES!!!

If it's in a priority mail box, you must use priority mail postage if shipping USPS!!!

Unless you want to return the favor of a bomb, Then you cross off your name and circle the return address and write..."Send this package back to this Guy" ...

Just go to usps.com and get new boxes sent to you for free!  The machines used to sort packages like sharp corners or they get stuck in them and come out looking like a train wreck!  Your best bet for packages under 1lbs is a non flat rate box.
