Been off the boards for far too long and wanted to say hello.
Little up date I should be on the boards more now, at home recovering from a stab wound to my right thigh. A fine fellow desided it was a good idea to put his hands where my wife didn't want them at the bar and when he realized he was out matched in a fair fight decided to stick me with a 12" boot knife that almost went through to the back side of my leg.
Sucks to be laid up but I have too so I don't get compartment syndrome. So far so good pain yes infection no. I'll take what I can get. I have pics but will spare the squeemish and keep them off the boards.
Needless to say I will not be going out drinking anymore, far too close a call for this guy!
Hope everythings been good for all of you now I at least have time for some good smokes.

Hope you heal up well and quickly brother! And honestly, there ARE worse fates in this world than being at home on crutches... in the springtime... when its perfect cigar smoking weather out...

damn, that sucks. Well hopefully they caught the guy. Hope you do okay. Stab wounds suck.

Luckily no crutches,,,, but the boy starts baseball and I can't catch for him to practice. (his first year were they pitch) I have had a few nice cigars and they help more with the pain than the meds. Luckily they gave me something for the pain but I only take the strong one when I go to bed.
Just crossing my fingers that everything goes well at the muscle specialist next week, damn thing just gives out every now and then -
My prayers brother, I trust the A-hole is in jail now also.

Doing my best to stay positive. It was an eye opening experience for sure 6 inches and my artery would have been severed. Makes you rethink the way you live your life thats for sure.
But I'll take a bullet to deffend my wife so I guess this isn't so bad -

I had a similar issue that made me stop drinking... Two plates and twelve screws to the face later, I'm almost as pretty as I used to be. I agree that we should set out a search party and cure his lead deficiency! Instead of using the preferred method though, lets use pencils!
