Newbie needs guidance in formatting my posts

Hello
When I post, I try to do paragraph breaks and indentations. But when it gets posted, the wording gets all jumbled togther with none of the spacing and paragraph breaks that I set. I even tried writing my post on Word and pasting it on the site. Same result.
Can someone tell me how I can correct this? I would like to post a newbie cigar review, but I want to correct this before I do.
