What is a toothy wrapper?

I've read some reviews where this is mentioned. What does it mean?

Toothy refers to the small, timy bumps in the outter wrapper, Think fine grit sand paper. A connecticut wrapper is usually very smooth with no tooth, darker maduro wrappers tend to be toothy, like MOW or Padilla dominus. Someone will probably explain this better than me.

It's usually at least a maduro, more often an oscuro wrapper, heavy ligero binder and filler that after smoking your front teeth intermittently fall out leaving you looking like a redneck resident of East Bumfuck, Texas!!!!!!

Tooth is indicative of oil in the wrapper.

Haha, fun post. But, yes, they have a rougher, grittier appearance to them. Usually a toothy wrapper means more dark earth type flavors like peat, leather, coffee.
