Whatcha smokin tonight?

I'm going to try an Ashton VSG Corona Gorda. Had one before but don't remember a whole bunch about it. This has been resting for about 16 months, so I'm looking forward to it.

z3ro...its an ok cigar. lets put it this way: I dont go out of my way to buy this particular cigar but i am very happy when it shows up in a PIF. i like the stronger version of this cigar. just a bit more punch to it.

speaking of PIF/trade...right now im about to light up a macanudo maduro sent to me by bass8844. I have never smoked macanudo's maduro. If i had to guess by how it smells unlit im guessing that itll be a lighter sweeter maduro. the size is the Baron De Rothschild 6.5 x 45 ( i think)

I had a Macanudo Maduro Hyde Park that I put I got in a CCOM build your own sampler. As much bad review as Macanudo gets here I wanted to see what the fuss was about. I found that it actually wasn't too bad. Not the best cigar I've ever had but not the worst either. I would probably try it again when I could actually sit down with it and experience it. I smoked this one while walking around at work so I probably didn't give it the attention it should have gotten.

yup not to bad. it weas a bit mild for me, but i wont complain . It was the best macanudo i have ever had.

Tonight I smoked an Oliveros Classic Churchhill. I didn't have high expectations but it ended up being a tasty cigar. This was a great value, under $2.

I've really been enjoying the Sol Cubano Sumatras after work. I prefer the robustos, and excellent priced everyday smoke.

La Aurora Preferidos Sapphire #2. Absolutly love this cigar. Wish they weren't so expensive.

Thursday night I had a couple of smokes at a casino in Des Moines. Did a Cusano Corojo 97 and a Gurka Signature Gold Churchill. The Cusano had burn problems to start, but ended up being a decent smoke. The Gurka was outstanding.

Tonight I did a Felipe Gregorio Blue Toro. It was just ok. Nice burn and construction but the taste did nothing for me. Just average.

This week has been long and I'm tired out, so tonight I thought I'd recharge with a Rocky Patel Sun Grown Toro. This is the first one I've had and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I must say though, it was a bit stronger than I had realized, and I wished I had eaten beforehand, especially when I stood and my head was light and my legs felt a bit less than sturdy. A wonderful smoke nonetheless.

Like Joe, this week was long, especially Friday and I was a bit tired. Originally wanted something to kick my backside, but decided it would be better to have something a little more mellower. Fired up a CAO MX-2 toro. Overall the smoke was fine, nothing really outstanding. Decent burn, plenty of smoke, the flavor seemed to be rather one deminsional but comfortable.

Outside on the patio smoke a A. Fuente Chateau Fuente sungrown. Draw is pretty loose flavors are awesome. Only thing that sucks is that this stupid dog across the way won't shut the f*** up! Well hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Had a La Gloria Cubana Serie R last night. Great flavor, great body, just a lil strong for me. Of course I may have been smoking it a lil fast too. I might have to give it another chance sometime.

After a very busy Saturday, I was finally able to relax and enjoy a Gran Habano 3 Siglos while grilling up some Jalapeno burgers. Nice smoke....medium bodied, some nice flavors going on, nothing powerful just very enjoyable.

Went to back to a couple of old favorites today. Did a RP Vintage 99 petite this morning and finished the day w a 5 Vegas Gold Torpedo. In between I tried a Torano Virtuoso for the first time .Ok smoke, don't think I would go out and buy a box though.

I just came in from the screened porch having finished a Punch double maduro Rothschild. It's the first one I've had and it was very good, certainly worth having a couple in the humi. Perfect construction and burn with a very solid gray ash. Once more I used my punch cutter (no pun intended) and the results were very good. Great draw and plenty of rich smoke. I tried the EMS job yesterday and being a maduro lover I thought I would like the black stick more. I'm not sure that was the case though. Sorta hard for me to tell. The maduro had a lot less spice bite to it I thought. It seemed to be both potent and mild together if that makes any sense. My palette has a long way to go. Next I'll try the rare corojo that came with the others in the 3 box pack. This really is fun.

Did a couple of cigars on Mom's Day. First I tried a La Unica 300. I got it in a sampler pack and it was actually a pretty good mild cigar. Last night I did an Oliva G churchill. This was a very tasty Cameroon.

I was able to enjoy a couple on Mom's day. I had the CCOM Corojo, a rather nice medium bodied smoke. Then I tried the RP ITC's 10th anni, a very nice smoke (prefer the RP Decade), great burn, tons of smoke, nice flavor profile w/ a touch of spice.

Smoke=Fire

It was last night, and I had a Hoyo de Monterey Excalibur #2 maduro, one of my favorite smokes. Glass of brandy, Churchill's "History of the English Speaking Peoples" vol 1, my feat propped up...I was in heaven, I tell you this much. Tonight, I think a repeat, though I don't know what cigar yet.

Had an '07 Partagas Short. Very full bodied and big on flavor. A little dark but still good. The burn and draw were good also; but this stick was still a little on the tannic side. Another couple years and it will be good; but alas this was my last one.

Today I had the cigar that started it all for me 15 years ago to the day. A Montesino by Fuente. And now I remember why I fell in love. Man are they good. If you have never tried them give it a taste. Great price, great quality. I believe they will please.

Thouroughly enjoy the Cusano 18 DC. Have had a couple in some samplers and ended up getting a box for those days when I need something that I know will be good.

this is the cigar i give to people that are starting out. good flavor, good burn, good draw. i also reccomend it for those who like to golf (in the churchill size) its a light and not worry cigar.

I picked some up about a month ago and I was just thinking it was time to give it a try.Tomorrow will be a good day to fire it up. I will post as soon as I can. I expect it will be a good one based on reviews I have read. Cusano has always been good to me in the past.

I agree. That was the first time I tried it and immediately thought wow this is really a good cigar.I like to try a lot of different stuff and this was really good. This would be a great anyday go to.

I smoked a 5 vegas Miami last night. I had forgot what a great cigar this was for the price I paid. I picked a bunch up on a one-day-special last fall.
