Maybe this is a stupid question, but how come flavored cigars are so often fruit flavored, like cherry and whatnot? From my experience, vanillas and coffees go MUCH better with the taste of the tobacco than fruit. Is there a reason for this or is it just what they do because it's what they do?
I just started seasoning a new 50 count humidor (someone gifted me with a 10 count seasoned and filled but I have since outgrown it). I have a shot glass of distilled water sitting in there and it's all closed up. Should I be checking the hygrometer every day or just let it sit for 2 or 3 days and then check it? Or is this…
Hey guys. I need some schooling on Fuente cigars. Can someone run through with me how they coin their cigars? For instance, I know that the Anejos are named after the ring gauge (#46, 50, etc). What about their Opus X lines? Hemmingway? Chateau Fuente? etc? Knock knock Dennis. Knock knock Rip. Knock knock whoever else.…
Couple months back, on a thread named the noob toob, which I can't find now, I asked why is it that some cigars are rolled spiraling right while others are rolled spiraling left. No one had a definitive answer. Even the superbly sapient kuzi settled for "it may just be how that particular roller does it." Well, my BOTRYOL…
I know the black band Forbidden X cigars are irregular production comes with different blend. I have been told this cigars were released in 2002. I am still learning about Opus X, Forbidden X line cigars. How can I verify this information? I never had this cigar before. Dennis, Burton, LCPLEEL- you guys are Opus X experts.…
Im looking at the 65RH Beads and I am trying to figure out how much is needed. I basically have two of the 5 Vegas 100ct Humi's and would love to know how much I need. I did look at the heartfelt site and it seems all I would need are two of the larger tubes in each of my humi's...or even one large on the bottom and one…
I have a humidor that I have my Acids in. Do I have to season the humidor over agin to get the infused smell out so I can put cigars that aren't infused in it? Any help will do.
This is my least favorite part of cigar enjoyment. I was wandering if any one liked it? What cigars did it to you. It seems like cain is a good one for this.
So My cabinet is in an area of the house where it is roughly about 60 degrees (underground no sun sorta place) and I read that Rh should be higher if the temp is lower. First off is 60 degrees too cold? Secondly should I keep my Rh up so the sticks don't dry out? What is a good recommendation for Rh, because I see charts…
OK... so i've had beads in my humidor for about 3 years now, and they have done an excellent job of maintaining a 70% humidity on my cigars... I've consistently recharged the beads with distilled water over the course of those years. My question is this. Why exactly is distilled water required? what is the big deal about…
